Strathmore Mixed Media Postcard Pad, 4×6 inches, 10 Pack, Envelopes Included – Custom Greeting Cards for Weddings, Events, Birthdays

These STRATHMORE BLANK WATERCOLOR POSTCARDS (pad of 15) are great! They serve the purpose very well. One side is completely blank; the other is formatted with conventional message and address lines for mailing. At a “mere” 4 x 6 inches (ca. 10 by 15 cm), they meet the USPS regulations for a domestic postcard and thus postage is about fifteen cents cheaper than letter rate. Color is white but not blindingly so, texture that slightly coarse feel somewhat like construction paper, but not enough to impede writing or art. They are acid-free and thick enough for watercolors of all kind. I just used my first one for a freehand pen-and-pencil sketch of Chicago’s skyline — they’re more than thick enough to survive the rigors of Postrossing, something I can’t always claim for all preprinted “art” postcards. While they are not super cheap, the price here is a significant discount from retail and given their versatility, I have a feeling I’ll go through my first pad of fifteen fairly quickly.
